REGULAR CLASSES

((BOUNCE))™

- Wednesdays 18.45 - 20.45

- Thursdays 20.15 - 21.15

- Saturdays 8.45 - 9.45

10 minutes at ((BOUNCE))™ is the same as a 30 minute run - plus the whole point of jumping on a trampoline is to have fun! There's oodles of scientific research on the benefits, but most notably, NASA calls it "The most effective exercise yet devised by man" due to the extra gravitational force that the trampoline pad adds.

**************************************************************************************************************************

Performed on mini trampolines, ((BOUNCE))™ makes exercise fun with choreographed dance routines. ((BOUNCE))™ improves weight loss 3 times quicker than floor based workouts due to opposing gravity and added g-force.

**************************************************************************************************************************

Our 1 hour class features the first 40 mins of choreographed dance-cardio jumping routines to burn calories fast and finishes with 20 minutes of muscle toning concentrating on abs, legs, triceps and glutes. A focus on 'interval training' provides short breaks throughout the class to programme the body to burn calories at rest. It's fun, friendly and fierce with one requirement: you can't jump without a smile!

Colours of Dance (our resident school)

Colours of Dance was established in Cambridge in 2010 by Imogen Knight, initially offering ballet, tap and modern in Fulbourn and Great Wilbraham.  Miss Imogen went on to settle the school into a 'home' of Cambridge Dance  Studios in 2012.  Joined now by nine other teachers, (see Teacher Bios), Colours of Dance offers classes for all ages and abilities in Ballet, Tap, Streetdance, Ballroom & Latin, Modern & Contemporary, as well as Pilates (see Classes by Dance Style).  We are very proud of our growing school, of the joy in the room at show time, of the results our students achieve in exams, and of our growing band of talented alumni who have gone onto vocational training at some of the foremost dance schools in the country.

Colours of Dance still offers classes in Great Wilbraham, and we have gone on to develop this outreach programme from the Studios, to work closely with some local schools, assisting them with their provision of dance classes and clubs. - source: Colours of Dance website

DDMIX

- Thursdays 9.30 -10.30

The aim of DDMIX is to get people moving without being intimidated by the word ‘dance’ or the technicality of the steps, but instead to give a full body workout that is such fun that you don’t even notice that you are exercising. With the vast number of dance styles around the world to choose from, no one will ever get bored!

We have a passion for dance-based fitness and believe the best way of getting fit is by doing something you enjoy. By participating in dance, you can achieve your goals by not looking upon exercise as a chore. We love group exercise classes with non-correctional instruction, that are fun and all inclusive.

Pilates

- Tuesdays 10.00 - 11.00

- Thursdays 10.00 - 11.00

- Fridays 9.30 - 10.30

Sweat! Dance Fitness

- Mondays 19.00 - 20.00

Sweat! Is a dance based exercise using similar techniques you would get in a dance class but it focuses on body toning and building up self-esteem.

Using different 'urban' dance styles in choreographies that are easy to learn yet physically challenging. It focuses on 'feminine' movements that will boost your self-esteem and awaken the goddess within.

It is a merge of a dance class and fitness workout. Not just follow-the-leader type of exercise but a step by step explained exercise.

Please visit their website sweatdf.co.uk for more information about their classes and workshops.

WORKSHOPS

Dance Flamenco Cambridge

Next workshop dates are:

- 16th October

- 20th November

We are a group of flamenco dance students and guitarists who organize monthly flamenco workshops for adult students in Cambridgeshire, bringing in a professional teacher from Spain, FELIPE DE ALGECIRAS. The workshops include a beginners class, general technique class, and intermediate level choreography class. The classes are accompanied by live flamenco guitarists.

We welcome new students and would love to see more people experience learning flamenco technique and dance with Felipe. The classes are challenging but also a lot of fun, once you have your first taste of learning flamenco with Felipe you will be addicted!

We also offer informal practice sessions for any student to come along and practice the choreography being taught at the time.

Please visit their facebook page for the latest updates about their workshops: Dance Flamenco Cambridge
